Mandy’s Background

The "Extra Mile" Mobile Groomer

Mandy and one of her beloved German Shorthaired Pointers, Minnie. Minnie was adopted at almost 9 years of age, and had been blind since she was 4.5 yrs old. Mandy’s compassion for seniors, puppies and kittens and especially the handicapped shows her true compassion for all living beings.

Meet Mandy Massara, who had a unique vision to combine all of her talents into one place to help pets and their people to be happier, healthier and more in tune with each other.

It is apparent when Mandy comes to visit you and your pet at your home how she feels about doing in home services. “At the end of the day, I would like everyone I meet to know I have treated them as a friend, and all of their pets as one of my own.” is a quote that sums up Mandy’s feelings.

Old pets, aggressive, shy and formerly abused animals touch her heart and she is devoted to showing these animals kindness and that not all experiences with a new person are bad. Her years of training and teaching people how to react and interact with their pets is apparent.

Mandy grew up in a home full of dogs, cats, birds horses and assorted “pocket pets”. Like her father, and his father before him, Mandy has inherited a true love of all animals. Her own menagerie currently consists of dogs, cats and turtles.

She brings this special touch to all she does, be it grooming, pet sitting, helping with pets that require medications or using her “magic touch” to relax pets that may have had previous bad experiences or been hurt.

Mandy has worked as a vet tech for many years, starting in her first clinic when she was only 17 years old. You may recognize her from working with your animals previously through a local clinic.
